Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Delta, Solo and Electron.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

When ordering caricature and poetry products, you are ordering from the artist and poet - we simply accept the order on their behalf. They have agreed that the terms as stated on our website apply to their orders.

Shipping And Handling All prices include standard delivery (Royal Mail). Some products may be available on Express delivery, but this will be clearly stated in the product description.

Delivery Schedule Because our products are personalised, there is inevitably a delivery delay. Unless the product description says otherwise, you can expect to receive your order within two weeks. Some products may also be available on an 'express delivery' basis - if so, the product description will include the relevant terms and delivery times.

Back Orders Because our products are personalised, we do not operate a back-order process as such, but of course your product must be created before it can be despatched.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. Please note that products derived from newpapers are zero-rated for VAT. Poetry and Caricature orders are accepted on behalf of their creators (rather than by Out of the Hat Ltd), and no VAT is applied. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security Your card details are processed on our behalf by a market leader in the field, WorldPay. For further details on the security of their systems, please visit the WorldPay website. We believe this to be safer than using your card in a restaurant - for one thing we, the retailer, don't even get to see your card number!

Guarantee We will do our utmost to ensure your satisfaction. Where we have made an error, we will work to rectify it to your satisfaction. We would remind you, however, that we can only work on the information you provide us, so please make sure you give us accurate personalisation details!
